Want a Cup of Cocoa?

This is the last day of the month and i have spent most of it making "container" gifts and when i saw the example on Saturated Canary i decided to give it a try.  This is my version of the "Mug gift" that was shown on the blog.

What i did:
You can't really see it, but i made a band around the mind you the cup is tapered so the band had to reflect that...not so fun.  I also morphed two images...i wanted my girl to have some feet.  I used the images "hot cocoa" and "snowman".  I wished i had made the oval a bit smaller, but i am happy with this.

I wanted to do one of each shape, and i still might, just haven't gotten to the round one yet. :)

This is my card i created:
Again, i used my new favorite embossing folder from Sizzix.  Doesn't it look like little snowballs?  Snowflake is a Martha Stewart large punch, and i would say i have more than gotten my money's worth out of this stamp...i use it  A LOT.

Ornament card take 2

This will be my last post for the SNB blog.  I've enjoyed my time on the design team and loved the chance to create using Alison's darling images.
This is image is called Squared Ornament #2 and found here at the store.
I made two versions of this card and totally paper pieced this card.

Paper Pieced Reindeer

This is the Squared Reindeer from the SNB store.  You can find it here.  I made two versions of the reindeer by paper piecing it and then using the leftovers for the second card.  No coloring on this card.
Here are the two versions i did:

Jingle all the way

This little elf cutie is a digital stamp at TGF.  I am making this for a friend.  The challenge is to "case" the card below:
And this is what i did (i added the stripes to her shirt and tights):

So Sweet Container

As i said at the beginning of the month, i am trying to make containers and such for this month.  I made this container using Saturated Canary's image called "Norma Jean"...she is just so precious.  She came with a plane, but i just cut her out to use.  She is about 6" tall.

My thought was to fill the container with candy, which is why i used "So Sweet" for the title, but i thought the container could have yarn and needles and the person i am giving it to would  be "So Sweet" or the container is for wine...i don't drink, so maybe it can be considered sweet?  Don't know. lol.

The frame around the image is from the Heritage cartridge.
Challenge #4 at Saturated Canary is to use fall colors, and i went with red, yellow, brown and gold.

Alice "Eat Me" Christmas gift take 3

I am making this Alice tag to go with this Christmas gift.  The digital image is from Mo's Digital Pencil and all of her images are awesome.  This one is a bit harder for me to color because it is drawn with thin lines and of course i made it harder by reducing the size to 2".  Yikes!

I followed this sketch for the tag from "Sketchy Colors" and rotated it on it's side:

Falling for you!

Looks like there will be 2 more challenges that i will do for fall...i guess i've been in a Christmas mode since the beginning of  So this is one of my favorite images...well i like them all so they are ALL my favorites at Tiddly Inks.  I changed this one out a bit to make it "fall-ish"...under those metallic leaves are hearts...and under the pile of leaves is a puddle.   You can see the original image called "Catch my heart" here.

I paper pieced this image and used the following sketch from "The Sweetest Thing":

Hi all, this week at SNB i am doing this Squared Ornament found here.  I did paper piecing so i made 2 using what i didn't cut out for one on the 2 different versions.
This is what i did:

Cut out the numbers 1-12 from your 12 x 12 sheet and the "Merry Christmas" block found on that sheet.  You will place the numbers on each page as shown in the photo (or where ever you want to based on your photos)

Tag from 12 x 12 paper- cut the tag down  to 1 3/4 x 3 1/2
Put stocking together as shown and loop the baker's twine in the loop of the stocking.
Use a heavy duty double sided tape to "hang" your stockings at the top of the flap.  Put tape on top of the baker's twine as well.  Tape the Sugar plums tag on top of the "hanging stockings" as shown.

Alice "Eat Me" Christmas gift take 2

This is the second gift i've made this week.  This time i am using a Digi My World "Alice" stamp.  She is so delicate...i like her a lot.  You can find her here.  I chose to color her with a Christmas theme in mind.  The bottle tag is a diecut and i welded the words, "Eat Me" on the side.  The bottle is filled with Christmas chocolate balls.

I have also used the sketch from Grapicat Sketchs Challenge blog (I rotated the sketch).
The sketch is below:
