Christmas Flap mini album part 2

Continuing with making the Flap Christmas album:
1- 12 x 12 piece of Holly leaf/red plaid paper as shown below with measurements (to see a larger image just click on the picture):
Continuing with the first section we already worked on, we will do the flap.
You will need the following cut pieces:
4 7/8 x 5 7/8 and 4 7/8 x 2 x1/2" piece.

Flip the large piece to the plaid side and add the small piece to the bottom as a pocket.  You can tape all three sides of the pocket or sew them down.  Adhere this piece to the flap as shown.
Now take your small 2 1/8 x 1 5/8" piece, it can be used as a mat for your title cover or you can leave it off and make your title w/a diecut/stickers.  See photo below:
Section one is now completed with the exception of the photo mats/photos/embellishments.

You will have a 4 7/8" x 5 7/8" holly leaf piece for section #2 we will use below.

You will also have 2 pieces leftover for photo mats to be used in section 3.

Now on to the second paper we will be cutting.
The two 3 x 5 pieces will be tags for the first section we just completed...place those in the pockets to save for photos and embellishments later.  You can cut the corners to make them look like tags now.

Now working on section 2 you will need your 5 7/8" square.  Place that on your base as shown below:
Now we will work on the outside flap of this section 2. You will need your  4 7/8 x 5 7/8" Holly leaf paper and your 4 x 4" gold paper (flipped to the blue side) to use as a photo mat and you will place those as shown below:  (you are working on the back side of the section #2 shown above)

Next we will work on the outside flap of section 3.  You will need your 4 7/8 x 5 7/8" gold piece, but flip it to the blue side and place it as shown below:

Just to let you know we are making a total 3 sections that will attach to each other and make an awesome Flap Mini Album.   So far we have completed the first section and have started on the second and third.  My next post will have two more papers cut...but will still have at least 2 more posts to finish this album.

  1. I'm there. Have all the flaps, pieces and papers done this far. Can't wait to see how it is all going to go together to make one booklet. Great job, gal. Enjoying the project!!
