Happy Birthday, Brad

My son will be 34 on the 3rd of July.  He was born at 11:45pm and the dr asked me if i wanted to wait (after spending the day laboring) 15 minutes to have a baby born on the 4th...i said "NO"...of course i said that emotionally, i was laboring (no shots). :)  He was born 10lbs 3oz...so that was why i labored a bit longer...I lost 27lbs right after...:)

Oh so why did i say all of that?  i made this gift bag for his birthday gift card:
I did use a card sketch for this bag from Skipping Stones Design (i rotated it vertically and left the banner horizontal):

Copics used:
skin- YR000, 00, R20, 24
hair- E41, 31, 34
shirt- R24, 39
shorts- C3, CB
shoes- C1, 5, 7

Challenges:
Magnolia Down Under- Decorate a Paper Bag
Skipping Stones Design- Sketch
Tilda's Town- Time to Celebrate!

A fun new card with a nurse

This card construction was super fun..but i tweaked it a bit to put it on a card base instead of it standing alone.

The challenge at Card Crafter's Circle where i am on the DT this week is to make a constructed card with more then 2 folds.  This one has 2 pop-out sections and that has 3 folds each.

Our sponsor this week is Milk Coffee and her images are so sweet!  The prize is 3 digis for the winner and 1 for each of the top 3 winners..it's a good challenge, hope those that see this will pop over and play along!!

To see the instructions i used to make my card please go to "Box Arm Fold Card" at Strictly Stampin' blog.

Here is my card:

Summertime giving- especially for you

I was so fortunate to spend some time with my friend, Margo in Canada.  She wanted to learn to use her copics..and i thought i'd share what i could with her.  We both made the same card and she used the copics she owned (so that she could color something similar using those colors after i left) and i used the copics i use...and tried to use ones like she had.

I have made this card for two challenges:
This is the sketch i used from The Sweet Stop:

Wedding- Mr. & Mrs.

The challenge for this week at Card Crafter's Circle is Weddings.  Our sponsor is Whoopsi Daisy and their prize is 4 digi's from their store.

Instead of using the entire image i enlarged the image and cut the bottom half off.  This is a lovely image for a Wedding card.  I used several dies i had and added Stickles to some of dies as well as the image.

Summer Fun- Guest Designer

I was so honored to be asked to be the first Guest Designer for Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  I was asked if i could make a card for this occasion and include a headshot.  Those that know me...know that photos of me are not my thing.  So seeing as i visiting my daughter in CO i was really lucky for her to take my photo...she had me put on a bit of make-up too.  She had some fun because she got a new lens and took some really funky shots of me also...she and her husband really chuckled about those.  i guess my good nature could share one of those with you..i am thinking it might have been smarter to use that for my "guest designer head shot" instead of the normal one.  ha, ha!

At any rate, here is my card i designed for Try Stampin' on Tuesday:

YR000, 00, E53 R11
